PrestaShop store monitoring with checkout tests
PrestaShop monitoring in IThandy Monitor checks not only whether the page loads, but whether customers can buy: it adds a product to the cart, goes through checkout with an account and as guest, and checks shipping and payment methods. I built it in Warsaw for small and medium-sized stores on PrestaShop 1.7, 8 and 9.
Scope
What I check in a PrestaShop store
- I detect the PrestaShop version, theme, checkout type (native or a module, such as One Page Checkout) and page cache, such as JPresta.
- I take the login, cart and checkout URLs from the store itself, in its language, so you do not write any test scripts.
- The checkout test goes up to payment selection and does not place an order. I create a test account only with your consent.
- I remember your shipping and payment baseline. When PayPal or DPD disappears, for example, you get an alert, and when you rename a method, I do not treat it as an outage.
- I check older stores on PrestaShop 1.6 where possible. I confirm the scope after the scan.

What most often breaks sales on PrestaShop
- A payment module or theme update after which a payment method disappears.
- A checkout module that stops saving the address after a PHP version change.
- A captcha or firewall that starts blocking real customers.
- A page cache that shows a working home page even though the store server is not responding.

Questions about PrestaShop monitoring
Does the PrestaShop checkout test create orders in my store?
No. The test goes through the cart, customer details, shipping and payment selection, but never clicks "Place order". No order or invoice is created in your store.
Which PrestaShop versions do you support?
The full scope, including the checkout test, works for PrestaShop 1.7, 8 and 9. I check stores on PrestaShop 1.6 where possible, because older themes vary a lot. I confirm the scope after scanning your store.
Do I need to install a module in PrestaShop?
No. The monitoring works from the outside, just like a customer in a browser. If your store sits behind Cloudflare or a firewall, you only need to allow the IThandy-Checker bot with one rule.
What if my store uses One Page Checkout?
The scan detects the checkout type: native PrestaShop or a module. I support popular one-page checkout modules, and I calibrate unusual setups manually in the Shop Pro plan.
